Chapter 17:

(86) DEVANAM PRAJANAM SAMANANAM PASHUNANAM PRIYAHA BHUYASAM AYUSHYAMAN BHUYASAM |

May I be, favoured by all the gods, subjects, equally mighty people, animals and may I be blessed with along life.
When a person remains healthy then he shall acquire all abilities. He shall religiously work towards his goal and shall be blessed with a long life.
We should engage in such actions so that God's people and animals favour us similarly. If you want attention and affection of people, it is initially important that we take the onus of others on our shoulder and shower on them love and affection.

(87) ADABDHENA BRAHMANA VAVRI DHANAHA |

May I rise with knowledge that is sublime and divine. Knowledge inspires us to engage in good deeds that accrue in the welfare of others. Knowledge arms us in such a way as to make us valiant and brave. It also helps us in constructive activities.

(88) SHUKRO ASI BHRAJO ASI SA YATHAM TVAM BHRAJATA BHRAJO ASYEVAHAM BHRAJATAMA BHRAJATA BHRAJASYAM |

You are radiant, dazzling and may I become radiant and enlightened as you are.
Human should imbibe the best of qualities and become alike them. By doing so all the obstacles in the path are mitigated easily. Therefore we should become radiant and enlightened.

(89) UDYATE NAM UDYATE NAM UDITAYA NAMAH |
VIRAJE NAMAHA SWARAJE NAMAHA SAMRAJE NAMAHA |

I greet him, who rises, who is radiant with his own light, who is radiant and embellished with the most sublime form of light.
One and all who tread on the path of growth respect him. Therefore one should strive tirelessly to rise up in society. He who does so shall get honors and fame.

(90) ADITYA NAVA ARUKSHAHA SHARITRAM SWASTAYE|
ARURMATYAPIPARO RATRIM SATRATI PARYA ||

O Sun god! Climb on a hundred oared boat to do good of us. Help me to cross this during the daytime and nighttime by staying with me. The sun engages in good actions so as to benefit all on the basis of his rays. Humans also alike the sun should attain the desired goals by perseverance and assiduity. The night and day pass smoothly and one eventually reaps good dividends.

(91) RITEN GUPTA RITUBHISHCHA SARVAIBHUTEN GUPTO BHAVYEN CHAHAM |
MAMA PRAPAT PAMMA MOTA MRITYUNANTARDADHE AHAM SALILENA VACHAHA |

May I dwell here protected by truth, all the seasons, past and present. May I be liberated from sin and death. I engross or submerge myself in the water of the divine knowledge of Vedas.
Human should tread on the righteous path of religion so that he is protected by the past, present and future.
Everyone should try to take a holy dip in the waters of the knowledge of Vedas and become immortal. We should strive to bring changes in the present because the present breeds the past and the future.

Chapter 18

(92) SHPAD EANDHARVIRANYA CHA YOSHNA NADASYA NADE PARIPATU NO MANAHA |
ISHTASYA MADHYE ADITIRNI NO BHRATA NOJYESHTHA PRATHAMO VI VOCHATI |

The knowledge of the Vedas, which praise the greatness of great souls and is consistently engaged in the benediction of others, praises the Agni. May Agni protect the people who praise us make us prepared to achieve the anticipated and alike a elder brother advice us.
The Vedas praise Agni who is the supreme God. God protects all those who ought to be honored and blesses them with all what is desired. He advises and guides us alike an elder brother. The person who engages in good deeds is considered noble and god fulfills all the desires of such a noble soul.

(93) YASTE AGNE SUMATIM MARTO AKHYAT SAHASAHA SUNO ATI SAPRA SHRUNAVE |
ISHAM DADHANO VAHAMANO ASHVAIRA SA DYUMAM ABHVAN BHUSHATI DYUTA |

O Agni! Those people who praise you, they become famous, are never devoid of wealth and food grains, beget vehicles such as horses etc, become mighty and assume a special position in the hearts of all.
He who imbibes all these divine qualities and praises the God gets in return food, wealth, vehicles and all the comforts he desires. Such a person is also blessed with a long life.

(94) SAKHAYA A SHISHAMAHE BRAHMENDRAYA VAJRINE |
STUSHA U SHUNRITMAYA DHRISHNAVE |

Let us become friends and desire for Indra, Divine knowledge so that he becomes a good leader, destroyer of all enemies and the Vajra Dhara.(The one who holds the Vajra in his hand)
We should become friends and desire for the prosperity and growth of each other. By doing so only can become capable of praising Indra. Until we do not become capable of praising the Indra we cannot seek his blessing.

(95) SARASWATI DEVAYANTO HAVANTE SA SWATIMADHWARE TAYAMANE SARASWATIM SUKRITO HAVANTE SARASWATE DASHUSHE VARYADATA |

Those who want to become gods invoke the Goddess Saraswati and invoke her in a non-violent yagya. Saraswati blesses the benevolent with the desired things.
The person, who acquires maximum knowledge and donates it,is blessed by Goddess Saraswati If a person wants to become noble then he has to invoke Goddess Saraswati i.e. become knowledgeable.

(96) MAINAMAGNE VI DAHO MABHI SHUSHUCHO MASYA TVACHAM CHIKSHIPO MA SHARIRAM |
SHRITAM YADA KARASI JATAVEDO ATHEMENA PRA HINUTAT PITRU RUPAM |

O Agni! Incinerate this dead body (corpse) in such a way as to avoid giving it pain. Do not make it sorrowful. Do not throw the skin. Burn the entire body so that nothing remains. You, the knower of Vedas, totally incinerate the corpses so that the soul goes to the Pitru Loka (The abode of the deceased ancestors)

(97) PRA CHAYAVASVA TANUA SAM BHARASUA MA TE GATRA VI HAYI BHO SHARIRAM |
MANO NI VISHTHMANUSAN VISHASVA YATRA BHUMERJUSHASE TATRA GACHCHA |

More ahead! Nourish and nurture the body properly. May your hand, legs and body not be destroyed by death. Go wherever your mind desires and go to that place which you have attraction and love.
Humans should take care of the body. They should stay wherever they adjust and love. They should do whatever they want without troubling others.

Chapter 19

(98) TA APAHA SHIVA APO AYAKSHMANKARANIYAHA |
YATHAIVA TRIPYATE MAYASTASTA A DATTA BHESHAJIHI |

This water is beneficial to one and all, it cures all the ailments. Alike the happiness, which increases, that water is like a panacea for all the diseases, please accept it.
The medicinal value and nobleness of water is omniscient. Water itself is alike a panacea to cure many a disease.

(99) YATO BHAYA ABHAYAM TANNO ASTVAV DEVANAM YAJA HEDO AGNE |

May we become fearless, where there is fear. O Agni! Pacify the gods, so that they shed their anger.
One should never invite the wrath of the Gods. But we should learn to be fearless and praise the Gods. Similarly we should imbibe the sublime qualities of Gods and work selflessly and tenaciously.

(100) AKUTYA NO BRIHASPAT AKUTYA NA UPA GAHI |
ATHO BHAGASYA NO DHEHMATHO NAHA SUHANO BHAV |

O Jupiter! Come here with a strong will power. Bless us with a good fortune, easily and swiftly.
Human should strive to acquire maximum knowledge, knowledge facilities influx of income, wealth and teaches us to protect ourselves, despite adversities.

(101) ABHAYAM MITRAD ABHAYAMMITRADBHAYAM GYATADA BHAYAM PURO YAHA |
ABHAYAM NAKTA ABHAYAM DIVA NAHA SARVA ASHA MAM HITRAM BHAVANTU |

May be we devoid of fear from friends, enemies, death, future, day, night and all the directions.
Human should engage in such actions so that they become audacious, assertive and fearless. The minds of the malevolent people can never be devoid of fear. One should refrain from bad actions and engage in good deeds.

(102) VARCHA A DHEHI ME TANVAM SAHA D JO VAYO BALAM |

May you bless me with radiance, courage, energy and strength.
Humans should engage in such actions that help in aggrandizing radiance, courage, energy, strength and divinity.

May we witness a 100 years, live for a hundred years, imbibe knowledge for a 100 years, grow for a 100 years, become strong and nourished for a 100 years, become embellished for a 100 years. Live for more than 100 years.
Here we see the greatness of 100 years. To live a hundred years it is important that the body is healthy, devoid if weakness and ailments.

Chapter 20

(104) INDRA PREHI PURASTVAM VISHWASYESHANA OJASA |
VRITTANI VRITRAHAM JAHI |

O Indra, move ahead, you are the savior of this universe by your capabilities, destroy all the Vrittras.
Human being should become mighty and strong. By doing so all the obstacles should be destroyed and we shall move ahead. Moreover we should lead and guide the multitudes.

(105) VAYAM RAJABHIHI PRATHAMA DHAN ANYASMAKENA VRIJANENA JAYEM |

May we become leader alike the kings and amass wealth by our own strength.
Humans should strive to acquire knowledge and to eschew poverty. In this way we should learn to amass maximum wealth.

(106) YAHA SHARDHATE NANUDADATI SHUDHYAM YO DASYORHANTA SA JANASA INDRAHA |

He is Indra who does not need to pride of the proud and is the vanquisher of all dasyus.
Pride is like a demon and Indra is the one who destroys ego and pride. Ego, pride corrodes a person's ability to acquire knowledge.
To seek the blessing of Indra it is imperative that we renounce pride. Pride makes a man, end up in misery and in a deplorable condition.

(107) YO JAMYA AMETHAYASTADYATSAKHAYAM DUGHURSHATI
JYESHTHO YADPRACHETASTDAHU RADHARAGITI |

The person who mistreats a noble woman, does bad towards a friend, he who is senior but is ignorant, is known as a degraded person.
A person should refrain from all those thing that take him towards, fallacy, misery and degradation.

(108) YUDBHADRASYA PURUSHASYA PUTRO BHAVATI DADHRISHIHI |

The son of the noble man is always victorious.
Alike the noble man the son of such a person is equally noble. He becomes victorious on his own capabilities and assiduity. The noble people should therefore engage in making people in their refuge noble and great.
